Healthy Families Counseling and Support, Inc., a not-for-profit family support service located in the Northland has a clear mission: to provide vital not-for-profit family support services to children, youth and families in the Northland Community, which includes Platte, Ray and Clay counties.

The program was developed after more than two years of consultations with Northland citizens, legislators and community leaders, and after a Heart of America United Way needs assessment study confirmed the need for additional not-for-profit, preventative social services in the Northland area.
 

Affiliations

Healthy Families C & S is part of the Cornerstones of Care Organization, which combines the strengths of five areas agencies: Ozanam, Spofford, Marillac, Gillis, and Healthy Families C & S. The Cornerstones relationship allows each participating agency to retain its unique identity, while achieving economies of scale and benefiting from the resources of the partner agencies. Each agency can continue to do what it does best.

Healthy Families C & S also works in conjunction with Tri-County Mental Health Services when prevention, assessment and treatment services are required.

Staff

Greg Neubauer MA, LPC is President of Healthy Families Counseling and Support. Greg is a licensed professional counselor and certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors. He earned his masters degree in counseling and guidance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, families and adults in the Northland and Kansas City area.

Karen Daentl is Director of the Tender Beginnings program as well as Director of Development.
